  • Liu Huang (Powder)

    Liu Huang (Sulphur)
    Properties: sour, hot, toxic
    Channels: Kidneys, Large Intestine, Pericardium
    Key Characteristics: Kills parasites (especially scabies and tinea), resolves toxicity, stops itching.
    Additional Notes: Only use externally. We do not have prepared Liu Huang and thus it should not be used internally.
    Please tell your patient that as this is a powdered herb the bag should be opened slowly to stop the powder from escaping. For best results open the bag upside down inside the pot with a small amount of water in the bottom and once the bag is removed quickly close the lid.

  • Ming Fan

    Ming Fan (Alumen)
    Properties: sour, astringent, cold
    Channels: Large Intestine, Liver, Lungs, Spleen, Stomach
    Key Characteristics: Restrains damp and resolves toxicity; also generates flesh and transforms putrefaction.
    Additional Notes: Only use externally. Often added to Huang Bai, Ku Shen, She Chuang Zi, Bai Xian Pi, and Ai Ye as a wash for vaginal itch.

  • She Chuang Zi

    She Chuang Zi (Fructus Cnidii)
    Properties: acrid, bitter, warm
    Channels: Kidneys, Spleen
    Key Characteristics: Strongly warms Kidney yang, dries dampness, stops itch. Frequently used in washes for itching and /or vaginal discharge.
    Additional Notes: As the seeds can be irritating we provide a reusable muslin cloth to be used for straining the herbs once decocted. Please inform your patient.
