Bing Lang

Properties: acrid, bitter, warm
Channels: Large Intestine, Stomach
Key Characteristics: Expels parasites (especially tapeworm, but also most other intestinal parasites, and blood flukes), promotes movement of qi, facilitates urination, resolves phlegm and food stagnation, directs qi downward. Also used for malarial disorders. -

Channels: Kidneys, Liver, Gallbladder
Key Characteristics: Clears heat from deficiency, also clears summerheat and deficient fevers with steaming bones. Cools the blood and stops bleeding, checks malarial disorders causing alternating chills and fever.
Additional Notes: Tends to cause loose stool if digestion is weak. Most effective if not cooked too long. If this is a key herb in the formula please write ‘bag separately’ in the special instructions box during checkout, and inform your patient to add to decoction towards the end of cooking. -
