Bai Jie Zi Ground (Chao)
$0.07Bai Jie Zi (Chao) (Semen Sinapis)
Properties: acrid, warm
Channels: Lungs
Key Characteristics: Mobilizes channels to eliminate phlegm by penetrating yin to restore movement to yang, transforms cold-phlegm, dissipates clumps. Also promotes movement of qi and stops pain (e.g. due to phlegm obstruction, or deeper in the yin levels of the epigastric or abdominal regions).
Additional Notes: This is the dry-fried form of Bai Jie Zi. We dry-fry the Bai Jie Zi as raw mustard seed can irritate the stomach. Best not decocted for too long (but a bit longer than the usual “add at end” herbs). If raw is desired (e.g. for external use) please select Bai Jie Zi (Raw) from the herbs list. If you would like us to bag seperately please write in the ‘special instructions’ text box, during checkout. -
