    Bie Jia (Carapax Trionycis)
    Properties: salty, cold
    Channels: Liver, Spleen
    Key Characteristics: Nourishes yin, subdues yang, clears heat from deficiency, softens hardness, disperses clumping. Also invigorates blood and promotes menstruation.
    Additional Notes: Please tell your patient that as this is a powdered herb the bag should be opened slowly to stop the powder from escaping. For best results open the bag upside down inside the pot with a small amount of water in the bottom and once the bag is removed quickly close the lid.

  • Di Gu Pi


    Di Gu Pi (Cortex Radicis Lycii)
    Properties: sweet, cold
    Channels: Lungs, Liver, Kidneys
    Key Characteristics: Clears heat from deficiency. Best for yin deficient heat with sweating, also cools the blood and clears heat from the Lungs.
