Bai Shao (Raw) (Radix Albus Paeoniae)
Properties: bitter, sour, cool
Channels: Liver, Spleen
Key Characteristics: Tonifies Liver blood, restrains yin, extinguishes wind, stops pain, nourishes Liver and Spleen yin. Also adjusts the nutritive and protective qi to reduce sweating.
Additional Notes: This is the raw form. We offer three forms of Bai Shao.
A) Raw Bai Shao is cooler.
B) Dry-fried Bai Shao is better to nourish the blood, relax the Liver and stop pain. If dry-fried is desired please select Bai Shao (Chao) from the herbs list.
C) Vinegar-fried Bai Shao has much stronger pain-stopping effects. If vinegar-fried is desired please select Bai Shao (Cu) from the herbs list.
