Cang Zhu (Chao) (Rhizoma Atractylodis)
Properties: acrid, bitter, warm, aromatic
Channels: Spleen, Stomach
Key Characteristics: Dries dampness, induces sweating to expel wind-damp, strengthens Spleen and Stomach, clears lower Jiao damp, treats atrophy disorders from damp-heat in the lower Jiao, helps vision (e.g. for night-blindness or poor vision with a rough sensation in the eyes).
Additional Notes: This is the dry-fried form. Dry- fried Cang Zhu is less sweat inducing. We also offer raw Cang Zhu. If raw is desired please select Cang Zhu (Raw) from the herbs list.
