Di Yu (Tan) (Radix Sanguisorbae)
Properties: bitter, sour, slightly cold
Channels: Liver, Large Intestine, Stomach
Key Characteristics: Cools heat in the blood, stops bleeding (especially lower body), resolves toxicity, restrains and inhibits. Also generates flesh if applied externally, so often used for burns.
Additional Notes: This is the charred form. Charring Di Yu reduces its cold nature and greatly increases its astringent inhibiting qualities for a stronger blood-stopping effect. If raw is desired please select Di Yu (Raw) from the herbs list.
