Ku Shen (Radix Sophorae flavescentis)
Properties: bitter, cold
Channels: Bladder, Heart, Liver, Large Intestine, Small Intestine
Key Characteristics: Clears heat, dries dampness, also disperses wind, kills parasites, stops itch and promotes urination. Often used externally for itch (in combination with Bai Xian Pi and Di Fu Zi).
