Qing Hao (Herba Artemisiae annuae)
Properties: bitter, cold
Channels: Kidneys, Liver, Gallbladder
Key Characteristics: Clears heat from deficiency, also clears summerheat and deficient fevers with steaming bones. Cools the blood and stops bleeding, checks malarial disorders causing alternating chills and fever.
Additional Notes: Tends to cause loose stool if digestion is weak. Most effective if not cooked too long. If this is a key herb in the formula please write ‘bag separately’ in the special instructions box during checkout, and inform your patient to add to decoction towards the end of cooking.
