Shan Zha (Tan) (Fructus Crataegi)
Properties: sour, sweet, slightly warm
Channels: Liver, Spleen, Stomach
Key Characteristics: Reduces food stagnation (especially from meat and greasy foods), invigorates blood, alleviates diarrhea and dysentery.
Additional Notes: This is the charred form. Charred Shan Zha enters the blood level to transform blood stasis and stop bleeding. If raw is desired please select Shan Zha (Raw) from the herbs list. Large doses (over 15g) not to be used in pregnancy.
